What is absolutely forgotten is that while all of this talking and philosophising is going on, the menace rises ever stronger.
ALL of the bleeding hearts who continuously cry for gun control and life and everything sanctimonious, are in their little ivory towers and the gangs are getting more powerful. It's proven that criminals won't try to rob an armed victim. I am a conscientious conservation minded hunter, but the only way to fight fire is with a bigger blaze. I'm not allowed to carry a weapon and the gun control in Canada is stifling the citizenry, whereas crime is down in places where carrying a sidearm is legal is on the decline. CRIMINALS WILL NOT COMMIT CRIMES AGAINST ARMED CITIZENS.Someone needs to stop intellectualising and stop the armchair politics and let responsible citizens arm themselves.

All that you're saying is okay, and all that....but do you want this in YOUR neighbourhood and commiting crimes against you? I'll arm Myself if necessary and us e the means that they use , but it's all too late, biggest criminal gang on earth , and no one wants to do anything but discuss" the problem.....what do YOU think will happen next?
